Backup to Desktop
Saves a dated ZIP file to your Desktop containing:
• A JSON copy of your full database (re-importable)
• An Excel file of all records, sorted by last name
• A README explaining how to restore it
Use this for periodic safety backups. Filename includes today's date so daily backups don't overwrite.
📦 Move to Another Computer
Saves the entire portable app to your Desktop as one ZIP, including:
• The HTML program with your current data baked in • Mac launcher (Start on Mac.command)
• Windows launcher (Start on Windows.bat + server.ps1)
• A README with setup instructions
Email or USB the zip to your other computer, unzip it, double-click the launcher for that OS, and you're up and running with all your data — no install, no admin rights needed.
